Prior to founding Cerca Group, John was with Quadrangle Group LLC, a private investment firm based in New York City, for approximately five years. While at Quadrangle Group, John was involved in numerous transactions including growth equity investments, leveraged buyouts, distressed debt investments, restructurings and others in various sectors of media, communications, and business services. John also helped Quadrangle Group open its London office in 2007 and was closely involved in Quadrangle’s international investments.

Prior to joining Quadrangle, John was with Salomon Smith Barney (Citigroup Investment Banking Division) where he worked in the Health Care Group advising companies on mergers & acquisitions as well as equity and debt financings.

John earned a B.A. magna cum laude in economics from Harvard College.

Prior to co-founding Cerca Group, Matt was with Ares Management LLC, a private investment firm based in Los Angeles. While at Ares, Matt completed private equity investments in the energy, engineering, business services and retail sectors. Matt was actively involved in the monitoring of portfolio companies, including lender negotiations, divestitures of non-core assets and the implementation of operational restructuring plans.

Prior to joining Ares, Matt was with Salomon Smith Barney (Citigroup Investment Banking Division) where he worked in the Health Care Group advising clients on mergers and acquisitions as well as equity and debt financings.

Matt earned a B.A. magna cum laude in economics from Duke University.
